Dave Weckl is widely regarded as one of the most influential drummers in music history. He has been inducted into the Modern Drummer Magazine ‘Hall of Fame’ and the publication named him ‘one of the top 25 drummers of all time”. Weckl is best known for his groundbreaking work with Chick Corea’s Elektric and Acoustic bands. His credits include jazz fusion giants, The Brecker Brothers and The Mike Stern Band, and he has recorded or performed with artists Paul Simon, George Benson, Diana Ross, Robert Plant, Michel Camilo, Paquito D’Rivera, Dave Grusin, and many more. Weckl is also an accomplished solo artist and bandleader with more than a dozen releases to date.
