Shai Lynn: Krazy In Love

Shai Lynn is an amazing entertainer, singer-songwriter from St. Louis Missouri born in Urbana Illinois. She began singing at the age of two in school “ELITE ACADEMY”, in church trinity mt. Carmel missionary Baptist church, with the Choraleers of STL and the NCGCC “national convention of gospel choirs & chorus” founded by the late great Dr. Thomas A Dorsey; The president is Marabeth E Gentry. She then Started playing the piano at the age of 4 under the direction of Anita Watkins-Stevens (learned to read and play with orchestras etc) and at the age of 15 she went on to learn by ear under the direction of Kyle Kelly Sr. Dancing was taught at an early age under the direction of her aunt Hope Howard who later took her to St. Louis Dancers academy to add the extra sparkle to her moves. Little did she know that once she got older she would need all of the things that groomed her for such a time as this. She Started singing bgvs for a plethora of artists mainstream and local. The first bunch of shows were from major gospel artists and the second was from a dope local artist in her city; that goes by the name Aunyae Heart who was really the stepping stone and push she didn’t know she needed to be an entertainer. Shai Lynn went on to record her first single in 2015 called “Time” written, produced, and vocally arranged by her fabulous MD Cj Smith. This song helped her Segway to her Christian audience and the new world of pop she had finally discovered. Her performances grew from within the city with word up being her first show to femfest changing her life drastically reaching people she didn’t have a clue existed. She traveled to NYC to perform at the legendary SOBs, ATL to perform in many places including Stankonia studios, and the BET pre show in LA IN 2017. This helped to prepare her for her own show where she headlined 2020 vision at POPs in December of 2019, SXSW, the dark room and more. Music is life for Shai Lynn even though getting married in September of 2021 and having a child in the same year forced a small break, we are excited to let you know she’s back and ready to make everlasting memories with each and every one of you.
