Makenzi Johnson-Randol, aka Zida Lioness, is a singer/songwriter from Alton Illinois who has been performing and entertaining her entire life. Since the age of five she has been gracing stages performing and participating in everything from tap dance to poetry slams. It wouldn’t take long for her to Fall in love with the art of telling a story through song and commit her talents to doing just that. In 2019, after gigging regularly for a year in Illinois, Zida Lioness had made the decision to move across the bridge to the city of Saint Louis to further pursue her career as a singer. After forming her band “Bridge No Genre” (BNG), Zida began her campaign to become a local legend and a household name throughout the city of Saint Louis. Since 2019 Zida has been honing her craft and climbing the ranks of one of the most electrifying entertainers the city has to offer. With her unique self-taught use of her vocals no song sounds the same but all are equally amazing. In 2021, Zida joined the As One Family, an affiliation based support group, as the third member of “The Village” where she intends to manifest her dreams and continue to grow as an amazing artist and extraordinary writer.
