About Queen Sheba: A two-time Grammy-Nominated Spoken Word-Poet, Two-Time NAACP Image Award Nominee, Patreon & Furious Flower Grant recipient, 10 albums international recording artist, and a book of poems with one in the tank, Queen Sheba is a force to be reckoned with. With over two decades of experience captivating audiences across 11 countries, her albums include collaborations with Grammy Award-Winning Artists Robert Glasper and Malcolm-Jamal Warner, with Grammy Nominated Producers Linia White, Clayco & D Botz to name a few. Sheba ironically has opened for Floetry on several occasions—now an international recording artist in her own right—she takes the stage alongside The Floacist to deliver an unmissable experience during National Poetry Month.
Queen Sheba is known for her Atlanta-infused Spoken Word style, fearless storytelling, and electric stage presence - not to mention her undeniable wardrobe and business savvy. A trailblazer in the Spoken Word-Poetry world; as a Creative Writing & English Professor Queen Sheba bridges the literary & performance cultural gaps through art, healing, and community engagement. As a philanthropist and the creator & founder of Poetry vs. Hip-Hop®, she has curated a movement and given away hundreds of thousands of dollars, in self-created scholarships and the PvHH Enterprising Award, in the past decade, in over 30 cities. Queen Sheba lives the motto, sometimes to her detriment, “Committee is the Key” by tirelessly sharing her platform, and industry knowledge via her membership-based writing & artist development virtual program.
